Russell Brand on Margaret Thatcher: ‘I always felt sorry for her children’
I can’t claim to have any political feelings about Margaret Thatcher’s death, and am only linking to the article to give credit where it’s due. But I have always found this sentiment true in my own experience and the way Russell Brand articulated it resonated with me.
“Finally, a new generation of neo-conservative historians have concluded that the light never needed changing in the first place, and have praised political leaders like Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher for bringing back the old bulb. Clearly, much additional research remains to be done.”

Just finished watching the series finale of Friday Night Lights, tomorrow is the series finale of 30 Rock, and by Friday I will probably have dropped dead from all the feelings.
My friend John shared this article on of his friends wrote about the recent rape-related events in India. It’s worth reading, and I think her proposals can be applied broadly. Turning a blind eye to this sort of behavior is tantamount to accepting it, and I hope to stop doing that in the future.

Y’all, I had nothing to do with this achievement, but I’m gonna toot my own horn and say I am so proud to have had Luis as a student during my teacher training. This kid works so hard, all the time, and it is an honor to be able to say I know him.
