This is a limited edition reprint of the very first ever edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, which was self-published by Beatrix Potter. The illustrations inside are black and white ink drawings, and there are a couple pages in the book that didn’t end up in the commercially published version. I got to see the original drawings at the Beatrix Potter Gallery in Hawkshead today. The only way I can describe how special that was is to say that I had a moment.
