I don’t even care how fangirly this is, Alex Turner’s new haircut is the bomb dot com. It’s like a really cool, live action Foghorn Leghorn James Dean.
I, too, would like to try all of the following:
- The cake Fauna makes in Sleeping Beauty
- The Medicine in Mary Poppins
- Cheesy Blasters from 30 Rock (and also the Teamster sub from that one episode where Liz goes totally bananas when she realizes somebody else ate her sandwich and then they have a drinking contest in order to figure out where the Teamsters get their subs so they can get Liz a replacement)
Also, it’s really nice to know that other people want to try foods from cartoon movies.
(For Tumblr novices, AKA my parents, the title of this post links to a post on The Hairpin. You can tell it links to something else because of the arrow. Just for future reference.)
“Have you seen my glasses?”
“Harry wore glasses!” →
“Do you want something to eat?”
“Ron loved to eat!” →
“I read it in this book and…”
“Hermione used to read books!” →
“How is school going?”
“It burned down!” →
Was trying to resist the urge to reblog this, but it’s just TOO TRUE.

The only thing that could wake me up at 5am and make me giddy like a child on Christmas.
I have a tumblr follower!
This is like the most exciting day of my summer. I can’t figure out whether it’s tumblr-acceptable to link back to your first follower, particularly if that person is a total stranger, but I quite like her tumblr so I’m going to link it anyway: ourriotousdefects.tumblr.com.
New obsession: Dan Croll.
… I have reached a bit of an impasse in my preparations to move to Leeds. I’ve applied for the visa and now it’s in the hands of a bunch of peeps in New York who are probably not going to keep me posted on the minutiae of their progress on reviewing my application. I’ve paid my tuition. I’m not allowed to pay my rent until later this month, and obviously I’ve already booked my plane ticket. I’m pretty much ready to go, but I have to wait another month. TIME FOR A PITY PARTY.
